How We Keep You Covid Safe at Noémi Eśka

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to be at the forefront of everyone’s minds, we thought we would give you some information on how we keep you, our customers, as safe as possible. Even though we aren’t experts in the field of infectious diseases we, much like the rest of the world, have become a lot more intentional with keeping our space spotless and clean, keeping ourselves healthy and being careful 100% of the time. Creating hand-made jewellery is no exception and we take our responsibility in keeping you safe seriously. So, without further delay, let’s dive deep in how we do this.

Noémi Eśka fine fingerprint jewellery has been lovingly handcrafted in our studio in The Cotswolds since 2016. What began as a creative outlet has become a refined process of creating authentic, unique pieces of jewellery. Whenever we handle any part of your order, whether it’s the impression kit or the finished product, we go through a stringent clean-down process.

We do this by disinfecting the working area, washing our hands regularly and following up with an antibacterial hand-gel. We also wear face masks, and we adopt a 48-hour holding period before we open any kits. To ensure we aren’t spreading the disease unknowingly we undergo weekly lateral flow tests to confirm we are Covid-free.

Once you’ve made your selection online at our website you’ll receive a fingerprint impression kit which is delivered straight to your door. The delivery of the kit is contactless, which means it fits through standard letter boxes and doesn’t require any signing. This is great and means minimal handling for everyone. We recommend waiting a further 24-hours before opening your kit to further minimise any risk of infection.

Inside the kit is a compound which requires hand-rolling. You want to make sure you’re all good for that part, as that is the impression we’ll use to make your beautiful fingerprint jewellery.

Once we have your impression back in our studio, we make sure we keep it clean and sanitary prior to sending your parcel out to you. It is then packaged in a neat, lovingly wrapped box which, as stated above, fits inside standard letter boxes.

You may be wondering if the sanitising is detrimental to your jewellery? Precious metals such as the gold vermeil and sterling silver can be damaged from bleach, rubbing alcohol and chlorine, which are great at keeping germs at bay, but aren’t so gentle on your jewellery. As such, we advise that you avoid handling your precious pieces immediately after sanitising your hands.
